John 5:21-29 Rom. 5:17-6:23 Eph. 1:20-2:6 Col. 2:10-3:1 Rev. 20:4-6
“For as the Father raises the dead (bodily) & gives life to them, even so the Son (raises the dead &) gives life (spiritually) to whom He will. For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son…he who hears My word & believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, & shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life… the hour is coming, & now is, (1st century) when the (spiritually) dead will hear the voice of the Son of God & those who hear will live (spiritually.) For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, & has given Him authority to execute judgment …the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice & come forth (bodily) – those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, & those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.” “those who receive abundance of grace & of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ... through one Man’s righteous act…to all men, resulting in justification of life…grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord… just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be (united together) in the likeness of His resurrection… we believe that we shall also live with Him… death no longer has dominion over Him…He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body …but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead… For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace …you have your fruit to holiness, & the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ” “He raised Him from the dead & seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality & power & might & dominion, & every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet & gave Him to be head over all things to the church…even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ, by grace you have been saved, & raised us up together, & made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” Him, Who is the head of all principality & power…you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, Who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses & the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him…If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.” “And I saw thrones, & they sat on them, & judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls (cf. Rev. 6:9) of those who had been beheaded…And they lived (spiritually) & reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again (bodily) until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed & holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God & of Christ, & shall reign with Him (cf. Rev. 1:6; 1 Pet. 2:9) a thousand years.”
